Here is a site where you can view some economic indicators of South Africa, there are two indicators that I would highlight, which is the GDP 283 million USdollars, which places South Africa at the 28th position worldwide, just in front of Iran. And the other indicator that I would highlight is the inflation of the price of food between feb.2007 and feb.2008, that is of +13.6%, which places South Africa on the 6th position in thi increase.

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to this blog, about that wonderful country that is South Africa.
I decided to start this blog, for I was born and lived there until I was 12 years old. And I still have marvellous memories of those days. I know that the country has changed drastically since then, but to me it continues being 'paradise on earth'. At the moment I live in Macon ( France ), after living in Viana do Castelo ( Portugal ) for 20 years, and if it wasn't for security reasons I would catch the next plane to South Africa. During the years that I lived there, I visited the following zones ( Greater Johannesburg, Sandton, Sun City, Pretoria Zoo, Nelspruit, BelaBela ( Warmbaths ) and the Durban beach ); so there is still lot of South Africa for me to discover. So I pretend to join up enough money, so that in the space of 10 years from now I manage to go there with my family and spend there one month on holiday, so that they can see where I grew up. Passionate as I am for South Africa, daily I search for information and News in the internet, and I pretend to post here some information so that other people like me, who miss that country, or that simply intend to know more about the country can find here a resume of that information.
